Echoes of Extinction

This game was built based on my interpretation of the 2 Themes of the Jam: EXTREME & 4.33.  Here is how those themes are represented in this game demo:

EXTREME is represented by the story which pits advanced AI against primitive robots in a territorial battle for what was once a world inhabited by the humans that created them. 

4.33 is represented in a weird way.  The player must locate and archive "sound anomalies" that are represented by different sounds one might expect to hear in the environment I created, a shopping mall, and the area around it. This plays on the "expectation of sound" concept, as interpreted by ME, from John Cage's abstract piano piece, 4.33.  

In a larger version of this game, I would probably use the sounds to direct the player where to go in the level, and force the player to interact more with the level, like with puzzles, or more physical obstacles.
